Aussie Kidz Family Day Care Service –

Respects each child’s voice, rights and culture, encourages child-safe environments and developing warm relationships.

Values diversity, equity, inclusion and supports the diverse cultures of staff, educators, children and their families and      acknowledges Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

Builds positive partnerships with guardians, and communities. We involve families within our Service and recognise parents as children’s first teachers.

Supports play-based learning and considers the environment as the third teacher which plays an important role in shaping children’s learning experiences.

Believes in the various theoretical perspectives and child-centred approaches of Reggio Emelia, Montessori, and Magda Gerber.

Encourages sustainable, stimulating environments that support holistic development, children’s interests, natural curiosity, and creativity, and encourage them to be respectful of the motherland.

Promotes good nutrition, healthy eating habits and active play to encourage healthy lifestyles.

Follows the ‘Early Years Learning Framework’ (Belonging, Being and Becoming) and ‘My Time, Our Place’ School age frameworks to provide equal opportunities for all children and improve outcomes for all children.

Considers children and adults as life-long learners; staff and educators engage in professional development and continuously reflect on our practices to make a positive difference.
