As a Family Day Care Educator you can provide the flexible hours of care matched to the needs of your family. Types of care provided include: Full-time care, part-time care, before and after school care, vacation care, weekend care, overnight care, 24 hours care. In your service, you are able to care for a total number of 7 children including your own children under school aged.

Key requirements to start your FDC
- Minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- First aid certificate CPR certification, Asthma and Anaphylaxis management training
- Police or criminal record check for all adults (18+) residing in your residence
- Working with Children Check Card
- Local council approval to operate the FDC service from home
- Public liability insurance
